Filming Blog: Filming Day One!

Filming will have to be done in two days because I have so much to film. This day I filmed most of all of the car clips. We were in the car on the way and I filmed my cousin driving as well as the view in front of the hotel doors for the beginning of the music video. The entrance was very cool because inside there was a giant Christmas tree since Christmas is coming up. I not only filmed just the entrance but had my cousin stand next to the tree and took a shot of that as well. The tree was a very fun cool unexpected altercation and allowed me to film extra. If I want to include the clip of my cousin standing at the tree I can, and if i do not then I do not have to.Filming was very fun because I did it with my cousin and we always have a good time together. It was very hard not to laugh because we were having so much fun. We had to take many different shots because of this exact reason. I will have to sort through all of them in order to find the best ones. I believe having multiple shots to pick from is really good because I can choose which one is the best. Even if I did mess up in one it is very unlikely that I did the same in all of the multiple shots I took. So most of the car shots were filmed this day as well as the first shots of the resort. I also filmed a band performance that we had later that day. I filmed many extra shots that I did not think I would when I was drawing my storyboard. Tomorrow will be day two of filming and the last day of filming. I am more excited to film for tomorrow because we will be recording at the pool and I know they have a very pretty waterfall at their pool. I am even more excited to edit because I can not wait to see what my creation will look like when it is all put together. Editing has always been more fun for me rather than any other part of a media project.

Research Blog: Commercial Conventions

Commercial Conventions I will be doing a shoe commercial for product Crocs. In these commercials, it is typical for the audience to see people running or just different angles of the shoe.  The shoes are the main subject in the commercial. They do things that revolve around the shoe, that add to it, like playing soccer with your feet.  The setting of these commercials, crocs specifically are usually very colorful and vibrant. This is to match the many different colors that crocs can come in. By using these colors they try to draw in the viewers because there are many vibrant colors.  In these commercials the actor is put into scenes such as dancing with their families or running with their friends, the shoes are specifically shown because they are having fun in them. Props could include the shoes themself along with the the setting followed. Final Task Planning: Schedule, Location, Health, and Backup Plan Schedule: On February 19th, 2023 , I researched conventions relating to the movie genre thriller. On February 26th, 2023 , I established the location, props, costumes, schedule, and backup plan for my opening sequence. On  February 26th, 2023 , I created the script for my opening sequence. On February 27th, 2023  I will complete my title design blog. On March 3rd, 2023 , I will create the storyboard for my opening sequence. On March 5th, 2023 , I will begin filming for my opening sequence. On March 8th, 2023 , I will finish filming for my opening sequence.  On March 9th, 2023 , I will begin to edit and add final touches to my opening sequence.  Location and S et: My location/set will be at a park as well as  Health and Safety Protocols: Nothing unsafe will occur during all processes of my filming.
