Title Research: Websites

Art of the Title Website

The website's home page is displayed when it is first opened. This homepage contains of a display of the "Top Five: Micheal DeForge." At the top of the website there are two drop down menus, one says "Title Sequence" and the other says "Designers + Studios." When clicking on the first drop down menu, title sequence a display of many different movies is shown. When clicking on the second drop down menu, Designers + Studios many different names of designers are shown and different studios. I clicked on one random name and more information about that person came up. Additionally, it listed the films and honors the individual has received. The title sequence bar displayed the most recent, top picks, and classic films when I clicked on it. This helps us maintain a particular style that satisfies the thriller genre and gives understanding into the kind of title sequence I would like for my movie. As I browsed this website, I realized how important the designs and lettering are to an opening sequence. Additionally, the website provides me with insight into specific formatting trends and techniques. Most notably, I used the website as a resource to learn how to create my titles and title designs for my own film.

Watch The Titles Website

The website's homepage is displayed when the website is first opened. The homepage consist of a moving display of different movies and interviews. There are multiple tabs at the top of the screen. They says "Title Sequences", "Designers", "Studios", and "Search." When hovering over the title sequence button a drop down menu will appear, it consist of six different subcategories. The other three tabs are buttons, "Designers", "Studios", and "Search." When clicking on designers you are brought to an entirely new page that has many designers names. The same happens with studios. The search button has a tiny menu where you are able to search. I researched this website to get concepts for how distinct movies can personalize their title sequences. The title sequences on this website come from a wide range of distinct movies and genres.
