Editing Pushed Back

Unfortunately I am having to push my hoped editing days back. I was unable to get to editing today because I had lots of homework I needed to complete, I also had a family event that also took some of my time. It was unfortunate but it is not that big of a deal. I have been really busy with lots of school work. Exams are coming up which has me under a lot of stress. I have been having many mock exams that i’ve needed to study for. This is a reason that I have not had any time to edit. Upcoming I have many deadlines for study guides and test. It is crunch time right now because of all of my exams. All of my major exams are all within a month. Whether it's attending a lecture, finishing an assignment, or studying for an exam, there always seems to be something that needs to be done. I've been struggling to keep up with everything because of the continuous pressure to perform well. I'm still determined to perform well and pass my exams in spite of everything. I've been working hard to stay organized and put in long hours studying, and I'm optimistic that my efforts will be rewarded in the end. Even when things are difficult, I just need to remain focused and keep working hard. More importantly, I am very excited to complete editing my short film which will be very soon. Although the process has been drawn out and difficult, I am confident that it will all be worthwhile in the end. Seeing all the components come together and produce a well-rounded result is incredibly satisfying. I'm eager to show my movie to others and observe their reactions. Hearing encouraging comments and realizing that my work has touched someone else is always gratifying. Overall, I'm eager to reveal and distribute the finished product.

I learned more about how to create my own film by watching this video, "How to Make a Short Film."  Even though I had some prior experience making films, this video provided additional advice that will be useful to me as I continue to make short films.  In this video, a film specialist offers post-production as well as production advice.  I found two particularly noteworthy production tips: play with the audience's feelings and minds, and avoid it if you can't.  The advice to "don't do it if you can't pull it off" truly caught my attention.  The movie expert says that you shouldn't try to do something for the movie that you can't do perfectly. Genre Research: Drama

The second genre of film that I will be researching is drama. Drama has to be another one of my favorite genres of film because of that same aspect of suspense. A drama is a dramatic story about human struggle and feelings are included in the broad category of drama in film. Dramas frequently feature believable characters in normal circumstances while examining topics of connections, individuality, and personal development. The aim of the drama genre is to evoke empathy and thought-provoking perspectives from the audience by giving the viewer an understanding of feelings depth and relation with the characters. Dramas can be divided into a variety of sub genres, including historical drama, family drama, romantic drama, crime drama, and more. These motion pictures frequently have complicated characters and subtle plot lines, and they can be severe, heartwarming, or thought-provoking. Title Research: Don’t Worry Darling

1. What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?  The first opening sequence that I researched was "Don't Worry Darling." The sequence begins off by displaying titles for the directors, screen writers, story writers, producers, director of photography, production designer, editors, music composer and conductor, visual effects supervisor, music supervisor, costume designer, and cast directors. After these titles are shown a list with actors that are in the movie begins to be displayed.  2. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  This opening sequence contains one shot being prioritized throughout the entire sequence.
