My Pitch!

Pitch 1: A mother and her daughter go to the park like any other day, when the mother looks away to grab something she looks back her daughter is gone.

I came up with this pitch because I have a baby niece and I spend so much time with her so it would be very fun to include her in my project. Also when I was thinking of movies with a good cliffhanger, the kidnapping immediately came to my head. I personally really enjoy movies that make me want to watch more, use of a cliffhanger. When I began to think on the theme of a kidnap I did not want to use someone like my cousin who is older. I wanted a young kid which is why my baby niece came to my mind. I also see her almost everyday therefore I know I will have time to film with her.

Pitch 2: When a girl is at the mall by herself and notices someone following her, but when the person approaches her she does not go without a fight.

I created this pitch because I am a young woman who does go to the mall regularly, either with some friends family or by myself. It can be scary sometimes because you never know what someone else may be planning to do. Many young woman are targeted because they can be seen as less of a fight. It is very important for all people to know how to protect themselves in a scary situation like this one. I also do like the idea of filming in a mall because I love going.

My Decision: Overall, I decided to go with pitch 1. I personally just really love the idea of putting my beautiful niece into my work. I am super excited to take her to the park in order to film this project. I also feel this is the better idea overall I have created a better picture of the entirety of it in my head rather than pitch 2. Although I also did love my second pitch I had to choose the one I would enjoy filming better. I also think filming at the park will be fun because I have not been in a while. The whole idea of a kidnapping in my opinion seems more developed and can be construed well.
