Second Day of Editing!

I'm getting more and more eager to see the finished product as I continue editing. It's incredible to consider that the footage I've been collecting over the last few weeks will soon be assembled into a complete piece. Today I added all transitions to make my work flow nicely. I also added the music which was just some regular ominous music that progressively got more ominous. I felt this captured the essence of my opening sequence best because it is about a kidnapping. From the beginning the viewer can know that something bad is going to happen because of the music. Though they are not able to know for sure until it finally hits. I felt this music could keep my viewers more engaged because of that exact element that it creates for them. The element of suspense can be very captivating in my opinion. This all brings me back to how I decided my pitch idea, I wanted something that was engaging. I wanted something that would make my audience want to keep watching, not something boring. I also added the last scene fading to black to complete the opening sequence. All I have left to do is my titles which I am very excited for. I also did have to speed up some clips and slow down others in order to make them flow better. I am very excited to make my final touches which will happen very soon. This will include adding my titles and fixing up anything that I feel I missed during my other editing days.

Research Blog: Commercial Conventions

Commercial Conventions I will be doing a shoe commercial for product Crocs. In these commercials, it is typical for the audience to see people running or just different angles of the shoe.  The shoes are the main subject in the commercial. They do things that revolve around the shoe, that add to it, like playing soccer with your feet.  The setting of these commercials, crocs specifically are usually very colorful and vibrant. This is to match the many different colors that crocs can come in. By using these colors they try to draw in the viewers because there are many vibrant colors.  In these commercials the actor is put into scenes such as dancing with their families or running with their friends, the shoes are specifically shown because they are having fun in them. Props could include the shoes themself along with the the setting followed. Final Task Planning: Schedule, Location, Health, and Backup Plan Schedule: On February 19th, 2023 , I researched conventions relating to the movie genre thriller. On February 26th, 2023 , I established the location, props, costumes, schedule, and backup plan for my opening sequence. On  February 26th, 2023 , I created the script for my opening sequence. On February 27th, 2023  I will complete my title design blog. On March 3rd, 2023 , I will create the storyboard for my opening sequence. On March 5th, 2023 , I will begin filming for my opening sequence. On March 8th, 2023 , I will finish filming for my opening sequence.  On March 9th, 2023 , I will begin to edit and add final touches to my opening sequence.  Location and S et: My location/set will be at a park as well as  Health and Safety Protocols: Nothing unsafe will occur during all processes of my filming.
