First Day of Editing!

I am beyond excited to get started with editing. Today was the first day of editing, this was extremely exciting because I can finally get an idea of what my final project will look like. I am again using iMovie like I did for my music video. I was able to use it much easier than for my music video because it was my first time using it but now I have experience due to my music video. The fact that I had an improved knowledge of the program from my past work is one of the factors that has made this editing process simpler than my prior experience with iMovie. As a result, I was able to get going right away without having to devote a lot of time learning how to use the different tools. I already did have all of my shots inserted into the "My Movie" section of iMovie. I inserted them as soon as I filmed them so I would not have a hard time looking for them when I began real editing. I now, today put them in the correct order and got rid of any unnecessary clips. I also adjusted the color in some of the shots because they were a little off. I cut some clips in order to remove some flaws captured in some of the filming. I did not think this would be a lot but inspecting all of the clips that I have took a lot of time. Watching every one and making sure that I removed all flaws and fixed some color issues was very time consuming. When filming, it may be simple to ignore minor flaws or problems, but when you watch the footage back, they may stand out significantly. The final product can be significantly improved by taking the time to go over and fix these problems during the editing process. Overall, I'm having a great time editing and am eager to see the finished product. Even though it can occasionally be laborious and difficult, it's also incredibly gratifying to see it all come together into a finished product. In the future, I'm looking forward to expanding my creative horizons and honing my filmmaking abilities.
