Final Day of Filming!

Image
Today was the final day of filming! This was so exciting because I now can start editing. Todays filming was slightly longer than the other days of filming. This was because I filmed two storyboards rather than one like I did for the past three filming days. I did this because one of the storyboards did not use my baby niece so she didn’t have to be pushed to do too much work. I feel that she can get frustrated after a while if we are making her do something. So I filmed the ending of my opening sequence. This consisted of the man throwing the daughter into the car and then driving away. During this scene my baby niece began to cry. I felt so bad for her because she did not know what was going on. Of course after this we comforted her and made sure she was okay and stopped filming. I also filmed the shots of the mother calling 911. Then for the 911 operator I used my other cousin, this was a very funny experience. We could not stop laughing during this scene because he had to act like ...

Third Day of Filming!

Image
Today was day three of filming! Again it was so much fun becasuse I get to film with my amazing family. I believe it is very important to have fun with any work that you have to do because it can make it tens times better and easier. If you are unhappy with what you are doing then the work will not turn out as good as you want it to. Anyways! Today I filmed the section of clips that included the kidnapper seen from a corner watching over the daughter and mother. Then the mother picking up her phone and the daughter being taken by the man. Then are then shown running for a couple of scenes. The mother after the man and the man to his car with the daughter in his hands. This is where we stopped filming for todays day of filming. I liked to spread of the filming days into four because I am working with a very young child. She can become very hyper at times or become fussy for no reason. Therefore I only liked to film with her for very short periods of time. This did make it hard because I...

Second Day of Filming!

Image
Today was day two of filming! Of course it was so much fun like always, filming with my family is always amazing. Being able to do something I love with my loved ones makes it ten times better. I filmed the second section of my storyboard sketches today. They consisted of the scenes where the mother in this case my cousin and the daughter in this case my baby niece played together in the park. An over the shoulder shot was taken over the mothers shoulder while she pushes her daughter on the swing. Another shot that was taken was a wide shot of the daughter and mother going down the slide together. They were also filmed walking and running around the park together. I did have to unfortunately cut out the park sketched in my storyboards of them walking down the dock together because we did not go the park I originally planned to go to. We went to one closer to my niece's house rather than mine. Though this did not effect me greatly I just made sure to take a sufficient amount of shot...

Filming has begun!!

Image
I am so excited to say that I have begun filming. I filmed one section of my storyboards today. I plan on filming the second one tomorrow then the next storyboard the day after and the last two after the day before that. Filming was so much fun, being at the park with my niece was so fun she can be so funny even though she is so young. We had so much fun playing at the park while filming with her. Though I did not anticipate how hard it was going to be to film with other kids around at the park. There were more kids than I expected. I knew that there was likely going to be other kids there at the park that may get in my way of filming but it happened a lot more than anticipated. I had to wait at some points for kids to get out of my shots. My niece was also very fascinated by the other kids and wanted to run around with them. Which also interfered with my filming because she was not complying to what I needed her to do. It was hard to control her because she is very young being only tw...

Updates!

Image
Since I have multiple people in my opening sequence I have to make sure their schedules fit with mine in order to film. The schedules of three people must all work out, myself and the two other people in my film. Therefore this has been difficult for me considering the two people in my opening sequence have jobs and other work they need to tend too. As well as myself because I am a students who has lots of school work I need to complete. My schools quarter is coming to an end which has been causing lots of work and test to come about. Having to study till late is what has been holding me back from filming. Same for my cousin who also is in school. My other actor for my opening sequence who is my dad has work which makes it hard for him to accommodate with my schedule. Though this will soon come to an end because the weekend is coming up which will give me time to film with both of them. I will begin filming hopefully this weekend and have some great updates for you guys. I cant wait to...

Schedule Changed

Image
I was unfortunately unable to film on my planned days. This was because of multiple reasons, my niece who was supposed to be the child in my film got sick. Therefore we were unable to film with her the days I planned to. I will not let this unfortunate event effect me further. I simply changed the days I would be filming a few days later than originally planned. This issue is not much of a setback because I know I will still have enough time to film all the shots that I need. I have a substantial amount of time, just because I have lost a couple of days does not mean I will not succeed with this project. It was also a gloomy day outside the day I wanted to film. It was not raining but the sky was very cloudy and not the weather that I typically wanted. I plan to film very soon, within the next few days. This small setback will not change the outcome of my entire project. I will still make the best work that I can possible. I also have been really backed up with school work from my othe...

Sketching for my opening sequence!

Image
Welcome back for my opening sequence sketching, my storyboard. The first scenes begin with a pan movement shot out of the front of the car peering out to the park they will be at. Then a tilt movement will occur of the daughter sitting in the backseat. Then a side view of the car will take place of the daughter in the backseat. It will then be shown being closed by the mother because she took her daughter out. A wide shot of the daughter and her mother will then take place, it will consist of the daughter in a stroller while the mother pushes her toward the park. An establishing shot will then be taken of the park.  Next will be the mother taking her daughter out of the stroller and putting her down onto the floor. An over the shoulder shot will then occur over the mothers shoulder while she pushes her daughter on the swing. Another wide shot will occur of the daughter going down the slide and the mother waiting at the bottom. They will then be shown walking down the dock of a pond...
