Editing Blog: Edit with me!

Editing has always been fun to me because seeing your work come together can be so satisfying. I was extra excited this time because I recently got a new laptop and am now able to use iMoive. I have heard this a very nice software to edit on and am excited to work with it. I edited about half of my work this day because it took longer than expected. A majority of what I edited was the cars clips and a few introduction shots. I placed them in the order that I liked, that flowed in my opinion. Then I added transitions based on the ending view of the clips before. I also added the music to get a feel of how the entirety would feel when it is complete. I was unsure of how to add the music at first but then research and looked up some videos on how. I began to become frustrated because I could not find an easy way to add the music. It was very hard I just could not figure out how but eventually I found a way. iMovie was a much different experience than what I used before which was ClipChamp. I like them both the only thing that seemed harder to me was an easy way to add music. There were many different features that looked fun to use and I may use them during my second session of editing. But for now I did not do anything crazy, just some normally editing. Making each clip fit into another and picking which clips I wanted to come after one another was also a little difficult because I wanted it to look seamless. Though I do think I accomplished that goal and I am excited to edit all the rest together. I do have a good portion left of editing to do because it does have to be quite long. Editing for this type of piece was also very different from the commercial I did before. This one is a lot longer and does not need subscripts on the screen and just features in generally that a commercial could use.
