Group Blog: Individual is the way to go!

I will be working alone. When I work alone, I am less distracted and am able to complete my tasks more quickly. I also don't have any nearby friends with whom I can schedule recording sessions. I will be responsible for all aspects of my music video's editing, recording, planning, and production. Working alone fits my schedule better because I don't have to worry about meeting up with anyone. Also, if someone has difficulty meeting together, it will not be an issue for me because I will not be relying on my group. I dislike hearing other people's perspectives in group activities. I also work better on my own because I prefer to do my work in a consistent manner without interference from others. I also get stressed when work is divided and someone does not complete their portion. Having to rely on someone for my own grade adds pressure because they may not share my mindset and will not complete their work as efficiently as I do. I prefer to make my own plans and goals because I know I will achieve them, whereas in a group, not everyone does their work. I believe that being in a group for a critical piece of work can destroy friendships. Because not everyone has the same goals, they can argue because they do not agree on anything. Working alone allows me to improve my time management and organizational skills. I'd also like to take full credit for my work and not have to share it with anyone else. I won't have to feel the pressure of another person who wants the work done faster than I can. I will be aware that the only flaws in my work are my own, and I will know exactly what is being added. Working alone has always been something I enjoy doing; even when I was younger, I was never interested in working in groups. Being able to concentrate on my own was and continues to be the purpose I do this. Working solo, in my personal view, is more efficient for everybody if they are driven to complete their tasks. For this specific project the music choice is also a very important part and picking the music I like is very important and I would not want to argue with someone about that. I feel for the last project I also worked very nicely and I was also individual for that piece.
